PosiPen can be placed with pin-point accuracy on any location of the part to be measured which other gauges are not able to reach.
The PosiPen Coating Thickness Gauge measures:
- on hot surfaces
- on small surfaces
- in different positions
The PosiPen Coating Thickness Gauge has a very small unique magnet and therefore can measure on extremely small parts, on peaks and valleys.
Easy To Use:
Place the tip of the PosiPen Coating Thickness Gauge on the coated surface and allow the magnet to contact. Pull the PosiPen straight from the object to be measured while keeping close watch on the appropriate indicator. Note the reading when the magnet releases.
Easy To Carry:
Just like a ball point pen, the PosiPen Wall Thickness Gauge is always there when you need it!
PosiPen is available in three versions:
- PosiPen Model A for measurements on surfaces with normal temperatures
- PosiPen Model B for measurements on surfaces with extreme temperatures (-150F to +450F/-100C to +230C)
- PosiPen Model C Ferrite Comparator - some objects become excessively magnetic. For example, 300 series stainless steel is non-magnetic but becomes magnetic over time. Certain welding seams become magnetic compared to the surrounding metal. PosiPen C allows you to compare ferrite content to a known value.
PosiPen A, B and C have two scales:
PosiPen A & B (inch & metric scales)
Range: 0.25 to 20 mils (5 to 500m)
Tolerance: 10% and 0.1 mil (10% and 2.5 m)
PosiPen C (ferrite comparator & inch scales)
Ferrite Content Range: 0 - 10 linear units
Thickness Range: 0.25 to 20 mils (Tolerance: 10% and 0.1 mil)
PosiPen A and B are calibrated to NIST calibration standards
